Fosters Needed

We are always in need of new foster homes for our loving pets. Each pet is evaluated and assessed prior to placing. Please contact us via email at sfanimalsociety@
We are a non-profit organization that depends on donations for our rescues. If you'd like to donate to help our animals with vet care, vaccinations or spay and neuter costs, you can click on the "Donate" button above or send a check to:
SFAS P.O. Box 481, Nesbit, MS 38651.  Your donations are tax-deductible, too!

To all community members who care for dogs and cats in need: We are receiving numerous pleas, every day, to accept another pet in need. Sadly, we have to turn down these deserving pets every day.

Please help make it possible for Southern Friends to continue to save the lives of abandoned, neglected, abused, homeless and shelter pets. Where does your money go? Vetting is our largest expense. Almost all these pets come to us needing vaccinations, preventive medicines, and for the hurt and unhealthy, medical treatments. Along with vetting, we provide clean, sanitary shelter and nourishing food. Collars, leashes, beds, blankets, toys, treats... We try to give these animals as much as they would receive in a home environment. After all, don't they deserve it?

We are a 100% volunteer based organization. No one, including our Board and staff, gets paid. They work hard for the animals because they care, and the appreciation that the animals show them is enough. All proceeds go to the care and well-being of the animals. Your donations help rescue these adoptable pets because we can't do this important work without support.

All other types of donations such as food, treats, blankets, kennels, etc. please email us at and we will arrange for pick up or delivery.
